We got 10 round bales of hay delivered this past weekend. Probably more than we need for the winter but this way we will not have to try to find some when it is least available.
The kids had fun jumping from bale to bale until we got them all put up on pallets under tarps.

Wow, now that's starting to look like a really good idea. We get our hay from the neighbor and it is in the form of 2-string bales that weigh anywhere from 40-80 pounds each. We have to go pick them up off the field and stack them ourselves. We do this several times over the course of the summer. 5 big round bales delivered all at once sure sounds good.
that jumping looks like lot of fun. i wish i could send my kid to play with yours
Hello. I just wanted to say that I enjoy stopping in and reading your blog when I get the chance. We are unschoolers, and it is my dream to have a small farm. Hopefully that dream will be a reality in the next couple years!
Thanks for the interesting posts!
